3 Easy Steps for a Natural Hair Blowout

Oftentimes, girls who go natural are constantly trying to find new styles that still look cute but are protective. Adding heat to your hair, especially if you’re trying to grow it, may not be the best option. However, when doing a simple blow out with the right materials – your natural hair can look fantastic. So, try this look!

Materials (depending on your hair, of course)

  • Heat Protective Spray
  • Leave in Conditioner
  • Blow Dryer

Recommended but not required:

  • Curl Activator Cream
  • Soft Hold Hair Spray

#1 Wet Your Hair

If you’ve washed your hair recently, simply wetting it is enough. However, if it’s time for a wash-and-go, shampoo your hair.

#2 Apply the Leave in Conditioner

Our recommendation from the above material list is the Creme of Nature Strength and Shine Leave in Conditioner. This is a great product for natural hair, whether you’re doing a blow-out or regular hair routine. Anyways, there are simultaneously great leave-in- conditioners including Shea Moisture, Cantu, etc. So in this case – use what works best for your natural hair.

After getting out your leave in conditioner, apply it to each section of your hair. Generous amounts! You need enough of it – not too little and not too much.

#3 Blow Out!

Make sure put a heat protective spray. Start using the blow dryer to dry out each section of your hair. Do not use a comb though! Using a comb attachment with the blow dryer will give you straight strands rather than the wavy curls you desire.

Additional Steps

As mentioned, there are other materials you can use to make your blowout look even more fantastic. For instance, there are curl activator creams such as Jane Carter Solutions or Miss Jessie’s Curl Pudding. (If you are going to use a cream, apply right after the leave in conditioner) You should use a soft hold hair spray, such as the Nexxus, to give you a nice sleek look for the finish.
