So, I never actually bought this product; my older brother gave me his spare container when he came down to visit. I really wanted to like this product, being a fan of Taliah Waajid in general, but I didn’t.
Initial Thoughts:
I opened the jar and the cream was very THICK. The jar said I could use it on dry or wet hair, so I opted for styling my hair dry (since I’m not a big fan of shrinkage). When I put it in my hair, it felt like a glob just sitting there. I tried to smear it into my strands, hoping my hair would take in the product better. It didn’t work; the cream was too thick for my thin strands.
I tried it again, recently, on my wet hair. Yeah, the cream did a bit better, concerning the curl definition, but I still felt like it was too heavy for my hair. I ended up rinsing it out. Although I like Taliah Waajid, especially their leave-in conditioner/detangler (The Great Detangler works wonders, by the way), I was not a fan of their Curly Curl Cream. I really wanted to like it since I have been looking for a product that can define my curls, not only when it’s wet but dry.
For those of you who don’t know, my hair is 4a, thin and fragile – so this product may work for thicker or coarser hair; it just didn’t work for me.
I know this product works for many people, but if you have hair like me, think twice before buying this (or try it before you buy it).
