There are four things in the Shea Moisture Red Palm Oil and Cocoa Butter Collection: the Detangling Shampoo, Leave-in or Rinse-Out Conditioner, Curl Stretch Pudding, and Styling Gelee. I have tried every product except the Styling Gelee so there’s not much information I can offer on that one.
Basically, this collection was designed by Shea Moisture to deal with shrinkage; particularly on wash days.
Also, the smell is everything. Every product I own from this collection smells like heaven, but anyways…
Shea Moisture Red Palm Oil and Cocoa Butter Detangling Shampoo
I’m not lying when I say this shampoo has a crazy amount of slip and detangling power. I don’t usually use my shampoo as a detangler; I prefer to use a conditioner. The shampoo is still a good detangler though. Also, it has a watery substance which I think works well with my type of hair.
Shea Moisture Red Palm Oil and Cocoa Butter Leave-in or Rinse Out Conditioner
I love this conditioner so much. It’s my favorite part of this collection. It’s very creamy and almost instantly moisturizes my hair. I don’t use it as a detangler; just as a moisturizer. For the most part, when I wash my hair using this collection, I use the Shea Moisture Red Palm Oil and Cocoa Butter conditioner as a rinse-out. On wash and go days, I use it as a leave-in conditioner. This is the best rinse-out conditioner I have owned and one of the best leave-ins.

Shea Moisture Red Palm Oil and Cocoa Butter Curl Stretch Pudding
Like I mentioned before, the products from this line are supposed to deal with shrinkage. When it comes to the Red Palm Oil and Cocoa Butter Curl Stretch Pudding, I think it performs best when I do a braid-out. I do notice a difference in terms of shrinkage, but it’s not drastic. I would re-purchase it, but there are so many options when it comes to curl stylers and honestly, as a product junkie, I would probably try others before I buy this one again. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great product. I just love to experiment with other curl stylers and do reviews on them.

To be honest, I wouldn’t mind re-purchasing everything I own from this collection. For me, it’s really the conditioner that performs the best. Everything else performs well too, and the Curl Stretch Pudding is a staple product for my braid or twist outs. I would recommend this collection to anyone. Shea Moisture really did one with this line.
