Nowadays, I finger detangle my hair but that is a long, meticulous process. When my hair is really detangled, I use Kinky Curly’s Knot Today (which actually ran out, I need a refill!). In my opinion, Kinky Curl’s Knot Today is the best detangler out there, which is why it’s first on this list.

African Pride Olive Miracle Leave-in Conditioner
The Olive Miracle Leave-in is also amazing and it’s not even that expensive. When I comb my hair, it breaks off so much. That’s why the African Pride Olive Miracle Leave-in is my number one choice when it comes to my daily LCO routine. It does three things in one container: moisturize my hair (it leaves my hair SOOOOO soft), detangle it, and prevent breakage.
Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Extra-Moisture Detangler
I tried this product and with no surprise, it was a great moisturizer. Just like the above African Pride Leave-in, this product not only moisturizes but detangles my hair. The Raw Shea Butter line, in general, is a win for Shea Moisture.
Oyin oh my Glide! Prestyling Detangler
This hair product has gotten 5 stars all across the board. I’m not surprised – I’ve had the pleasure of using their moisturizer and it’s one of the best in the natural hair community.
Inspire by Made Beautiful Leave-in Detangling Conditioner
This brand is not that popular in the natural hair community. It’s overshadowed by hair products like Shea Moisture but it’s actually efficient and inexpensive. It’s still sulfate and paraben free and the detangler is very moisturizing.
